Joint EACT-IGTA annual meeting

On September 15 and 16, EACT and IGTA (International Group of Treasury Associations)came together in Berlin for three meetings: the European association's semiannual Board of Directors' meeting, a joint EACT – IGTA meeting and the Annual General Meeting of IGTA

.

A significant portion of deliberations during the EACT meeting focused on communication. First of all, the new EACT logo, which represents the unity and the diversity of the association, was unveiled. The second report of Journeys to Treasury, a report produced jointly by BNP Paribas, EACT, PwC and SAP that was officially launched on 4 October during the EuroFinance conference in Barcelona. Three topics are addressed in the 2017 report: data analytics, cyber-security and dealing with new regulations and geopolitical risks. The joint EACT-IGTA meeting discussed mainly regulatory developments in the EU and in the US impacting treasurers.

IGTA discussed its mission and objectives and elected the IGTA Board of Directors as follows: Helmut Schnabel, Chairman, Richard Cordero, Deputy Chairman, and Tom Deas as immediate past Chairman.
